About this BOM cost calculator
Calculate the cost of an electronics bill of materials. Paste a BOM exported from KiCad, Altium, Eagle or a spreadsheet; parts are consolidated by manufacturer part number, quantities are multiplied by the number of boards plus an attrition allowance, and the cost per board and total order cost are shown.
How to use the BOM Cost Calculator

- Enter the number of boards and attrition percentage.
- Review the totals and copy the purchase list.

Frequently asked questions
Which columns are recognized?
Reference/Designator, Qty/Quantity, Value/Description, MPN/Part Number and Unit Price/Cost. If Qty is missing it is counted from the references.
What is attrition?
Extra parts ordered to cover pick-and-place losses, typically 1–5% for passives and more for small parts.
How are MOQ and price breaks handled?
Add MOQ and Multiple (reel or pack size) columns to round order quantities up, and a Price Breaks column such as 1:0.10; 100:0.05; 1000:0.02. The unit price of the highest break reached by the order quantity is used.
Is my data safe?
Yes. The tool runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing you type or upload is sent to a server, logged or stored.
